The Clients Goal:
A growing retail brand was preparing to move into an existing mall tenant space that needed to be updated to support both their operational needs and established brand identity. While the majority of the renovation was cosmetic, working within an existing commercial space introduced challenges related to building code compliance, mall requirements, permitting, and coordination with local authorities. The client needed an architectural partner who could help translate their brand into the physical space while navigating the technical requirements necessary to get the doors open.
Our Solution:
Serving as the Architect of Record, in collaboration with the design Architects at MAPOS Architecture a New York firm, we helped choreograph the renovation through permitting and code compliance. We worked with the ,design team, mall representatives, and local municipal officials to ensure the proposed improvements met applicable requirements while staying true to the brand’s vision. Architectural interventions were intentionally focused, allowing the existing space to be reused wherever practical while new finishes, storefront elements, and interior improvements transformed its character. The result is a refreshed retail environment that feels distinctly connected to the brand while making efficient use of the existing space and renovation budget.
