The Clients Goal:
A growing family came to us in need of more space, both for day-to-day living and for the practical storage their lifestyle demanded. They wanted to add a garage to their home that didn’t feel like an afterthought, along with a new primary bedroom suite that offered privacy and comfort away from the bustle of family life. The challenge was to design an addition that functionally supported their needs while blending seamlessly with the character and proportions of the existing home.
Our Solution:
Our solution was a thoughtfully scaled garage and primary suite addition that feels like it was always part of the home. The garage provides much-needed storage and organization space for a busy family, while the new primary suite above offers a quiet, spacious retreat complete with vaulted ceilings, a soaking tub, generous natural light, and two walk-in closets. Careful attention was given to matching rooflines, materials, and window proportions so that the addition harmonizes with the original architecture. The result is a functional and cohesive expansion that supports the family’s growth without compromising the charm or character of their home.
