Lake House Renovation
Webster, NH
The Clients Goal:
This lake house residence suffered from an awkward building geometry that fragmented the interior into a series of tight, disconnected spaces. The kitchen, dining area, and living room felt crammed and poorly related to one another, making it difficult to move through the house or gather comfortably. For a home meant to host large family gatherings and relaxed weekends by the water, the layout worked against both connection and enjoyment. The kitchen in particular lacked efficiency and had little relationship to the lake, missing one of the home’s greatest assets.
Our Solution:
We reconfigured the interior by relocating the kitchen to take full advantage of views toward the lake while establishing a clearer and more intuitive flow throughout the home. This shift allowed us to define distinct yet connected spaces, including a dining area sized to comfortably host the entire family and a living room designed for gathering and relaxation. The new kitchen layout significantly improves functionality, offering better storage, work surfaces, and circulation for meal preparation during busy weekends. Together, these changes transform the home into a cohesive and welcoming retreat that supports hosting, connection, and lakefront living.
