Waterville Valley Adventure Center
Waterville Valley, NH
The Clients Goal:
Waterville Valley had outgrown their existing rental and activity space. With mountain biking and nordic ski programs continuing to expand, they needed a new Adventure Center that could function as a clear, welcoming hub for rentals, check-in, and guest services. At the same time, the resort wanted to strengthen year-round visitation by adding new non-ski amenities, including a high ropes course, mini golf, and an outdoor maze. The challenge was to create a multi-use facility that could handle peak-season volume, reduce operational bottlenecks, and connect a wide range of activities into one cohesive guest experience.
Our Solution:
Our team designed a new construction, multi-use Adventure Center that organizes the resort’s outdoor programming around a single “home base.” The building anchors mountain biking and nordic ski rentals with efficient back-of-house support, intuitive circulation, and guest-forward planning that makes arrivals, gear-up, and departures simple and fast. Beyond rentals, the center ties directly into the surrounding activity network and helps unify new attractions like the high ropes course, mini golf, and outdoor maze. Inside, flexible spaces support year-round use, including a café, a small event hall for gatherings and programming, and an indoor play structure that adds an all-weather option for families. The result is an active, adaptable hub that expands Waterville Valley’s offerings and makes year-round adventure feel connected, easy, and memorable.
